Stearns Brook Timberlands is a large block of contiguous forestland located adjacent to the Appalachian Trail Corridor in the White Mountain region of northern New Hampshire. The property has been managed as commercial timberland for many decades and is currently in a stage of rapid growth of younger pre-merchantable stands. These stands are well-stocked with a favorable species mix, of which 60% are dominated by hardwoods and 40% by softwoods. The property has excellent legal access and a well-established internal road network that provides access throughout the ownership. The State of New Hampshire holds a conservation easement on the property that both protects the environmental and recreational attributes of the forest while providing for the continuation of traditional forest management activities.
