1552 North Haven Road is a top waterfront estate on the Fox Islands Thorofare in Vinalhaven with 17± acres and 520± feet of shorefront and spectacular views of the Thorofare and North Haven Village. The main house was designed by renowned modernist architect Don Hisaka with a traditional Shingle-style exterior that blends perfectly into the existing environment and promotes the outstanding views from nearly every room. Top-quality outbuildings complete this well-conceived summer compound including an integrated guest house, a water’s edge gym and a barn with recreational and living space. The grounds have been impeccably landscaped with areas of rolling green lawn, beautiful flowering gardens, cultivated fruit trees; and the property features accessible rocky shorefront with two coves and a protected, granite deep-water wharf with an extensive float system on the Thorofare.

Vinalhaven is an island at the mouth of Penobscot Bay in Midcoast Maine, approximately 12 miles east of Rockland and accessible by year-round ferry service. The Fox Islands Thorofare is considered one of the most scenic deep-water channels in the region.

  • Main house has two bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, including a comfortable first-floor master suite and the entire property has eight bedrooms with eight-and-a-half baths

In addition, there is a living room and utility room.
  • Post-and-beam ‘barn’ is finished with top-quality materials such as reclaimed wood features and offers excellent amenities.
